know that for adwords ad your display URL has to have the same Root as your Destination URL so i was wondering if this would work or not. If I got a 3 character domain and then used a subdomain on it to set up a landing page for a CB product would the ad take time to get approved? example - my domain is ***.info and my set up www, cbproduct.***,info as my landing page/destination url and then for my adwords ad display url is www, cbproduct, info. If it works i only have to buy 1 domain for tons of products. Has anyone tried this?
That used to work a couple years ago when I used it with a subdomain I redirected to my affiliate gateway page, but they since changed it and now it's not allowed. They let me know about the change when it happened and I had to alter my ad to keep it running because of it.
Im not redirecting though. My destination URL would go to my landing page and my landing page would have my link or an opt-in box. I guess if i can find a 3 char. domain name that doesnt look wierd i could make the display url cbproduct.domain,info.
The root domain displayed has to be the same as the final domain after all redirections. In other words, the domain the user would see in their address bar. The following are allowed as the display URL as long as cbproduct.com is the final destination URL. www.cbproduct.com (obviously) www.cbproduct.com/word word.cbproduct.com So if your root domain name is abc.com, and use word.cbproduct.abc.com as your destination URL, you must use that abc.com as the display URL and it also must be the domain of the landing page, not cbproduct.com
I'm afraid it will not work. You'd better make the display url in accordance with the destination url. If you still want more details, maybe you can contact their men to get further help.
