Would this work or have I gone nuts?!?

I had an idea for a youtube channel, where you ask (and film) normal people 5 different questions. Say - History, Politics, Sexual Revolution, Relationships, Parenting, off the top of my head. Give them 3 minutes each subject to talk about whatever they like. Done, post to youtube.

Of course it's all about the people being interviewed- people love seeing 'unusual' people giving their views. Everyone know someone like this But you need to talk to the person for a while before, explain what you are about, bring some liqueur if they drink, so they can be relaxed and you will get people talking.

That's it, doya reakon it would fly?

Best thing to do is just start doing it.

Do it the best you can, but don't wait. This is youtube, where what is popular today is gone tomorrow.

 

I reckon it would fly , but I suppose it would take a lot of time & energy to find those random strangers/people & interview them (a ton of field work & leg work LOL)..

 

I am assuming you are looking to make money from it! If so, have you worked out how you will do that?

Ha, I was thinking about that in the time since I posted this.

But I thought you could get far right / left religious guys, those strange people who write letters the editor, those buskers who to pretend to be trees, use your imagination.

For that and attention for my marketing company here in australia. Get enough people looking and eventually the right person looks.

Sounds to me like you are trying to create some viral marketing for your company. I would put up some on youtube, but once you get the attention save some things to view only from your site, make them come to you for more.

 

Buddy, that's an incredible idea.

Also, you could classify the videos as per topics. Very important, you need your own website to drive people to it. and also, if you are going to start this, don't think on money, think on the attention you will get and how funny and distracting will be for your viewers. Think on your idea every day and start acting as soon as possible while your idea gets strength. If you need any help, just let me know. I would love to push forward your idea
