Would this violate the adsense TOS?

I've been working on some ideas to get my ads more attention.

One of the things I came up with was to use a jQuery effect to slowly fade out a group of text ads, and replace it with an image ad, and then fade back to the text ads.

I'm not sure if this is violating the TOS, since it's not really modifying any ad code, just putting it in a CSS div controlled by jQuery.

I know the easiest solution is just to paste different ads all over my sites, but I hate the clutter.

I think it is not violating any adsense TOS since you are not touching the adsense code. But I can assure you only if I see the placement.

    Google AdSense Program Policies
    Encouraging Clicks

In order to ensure a good experience for users and advertisers, publishers participating in the AdSense program may not:

Direct user attention to the ads using arrows or other graphical gimmicks.

Finally found a good example of what I was planning on doing.

After reading what you posted from the adsense agreement, I'm guessing it won't work. But, is this really a "graphical gimmick"?
