If I write up a basic text with page stating my idea and dated and whatnot, could I legally claim it as my copyrighted idea if anyone tried to use it... like if I wrote a document stating my idea and my intent to build a site. Would it hold up if anyone tried to do the same thing after I wrote the idea down and published it just on a website no like paying fees or patenting it or whatever...
i have my website but i never took legal rights for this and now i see one blogspot blogger copy all my content..is there any thing i can do against him or blogger can copy content form anywhere.
Send the blogger and blogspot a DMCA notice. Check the blogspot site, they've probably posted their policies and instructions. And, BTW, you should have researched the forums (your question has been asked dozens of times) and not posted your question in someone else's thread.
How is this in the wrong category? I'm asking if that would be a legal way to claim right's to an idea as the first person with the idea for that website. I basically just want to know if I post a page public on the front page saying that it is my intent to build a website and layout the plan to build it for everyone to see all the features and plans I have for developing it, then if someone builds a site like it I could claim I came up with the idea first. Sounds like a legal question to me.
I don't have the actual page up right now it was on a old blogspot account but it's still active I could re open the page without touching it's content. It's a page that I started with details on plans for OurHangoutSpace in 09' I just want to know.. since it's a published blog with my idea is it legal for me to claim it was my idea first...
Actually, you did originally post this in the wrong forum - it was in the Copywriting section, otherwise I would have never seen it. Don't confuse writing sales copy (copywriting) with copyright. I'm just so used to folks making that mistake that I don't even bother suggesting they get the post moved anymore. It doesn't matter when you posted your original idea. Once you made it public, there was no way to stop someone else from beating you to the punch. If I remember right, either Facebook or MySpace was built on someone else's idea.
