Would this give me duplicate content penalties?

I am currently in the process of launching a big article site.. the site will have over 150+ original articles...

and as a means to get traffic, i wanted to submit articles to sites like ezinearticles.com and the likes..

now my question is... since my site will be new... and i submit the article to ezinearticle, i would obviously recieve duplicate content penalties because my site isn't indexed by google yet, and ezinearticles is ranked pretty high...

If i were to launch my site with my 150+ articles... and then wait to get a PR and indexed by google a little bit.. then would it be safe to submit my articles to those article listing sites?

as a rule of thumb, how long should i have the articles posted on my own site, before thinking of submitting them to another site?

also... can you suggest any way to get my site indexed fast? buy hardlinks? cause i doubt people will want to do link trades when my site is pr0... and finding other sites to link back to me regarding the articles isn't really a realistic option because most of the sites in this niche arn't very active... so getting a hold of webmasters would be an issue...

thanks in advance for your help

Buy some links from blogs, they usually are crawled more often, create a sitemap and submit it to google to get indexed fast.

About the duplicate stuff I can't give you any advice...

when submitting a site to google, you can specify exactly which page you want to submit? i.e. the sitemap?

i thought you could only submit yourdomain.com

didn't know you could submit yourdomain.com/sitemap

i guess that makes sense... considering a lot of people are running websites from freehosts etc that all starting tripod.com/theirsite/blahblah

    thanks for the tip buddy

You don't submit your sitemap to google, you do it on http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools

usually, your hosting provides with sitemap creation tool. If not, its just an xml writeup that you can create on your own.
