Would having a link to my website on a page like this help me out more than a normal link since it is a high PR .edu link? Also, are the links on there nofollow or dofollow? Thanks
As compared to what? The reason that EDU pages are deemed "better" is often because many of the EDU sites are older then most COM sites. The PR can help, but a PR on there is the same as the equivalent PR on any other domain. If the site is related, has good PR, and can generate traffic, then THAT is a good page to get a link on, regardless of whether its on a .COM, .EDU, or even .INFO.
^ Good info. You can also check if a site is "no follow" by going to ---> view ---> source on your browsers top bar and looking for the rel="no follow" tag. Any site that has that tag is a "no follow" meaning linking won't give you any weight.
