Would this be considered an incentive?

    Hi everyone,

This is my first post to the board and I apologise for my first post being a question!

On the home page of my site I have the text:

"We allow a small amount of advertising on the site to contribute towards the bandwidth and hosting costs"

This text is part of the introduction paragrah and is in a fairly small font. Is this allowed under the TOS? I'm keen to make sure that I am completely within the rules and I'm not sure if this is ok.

If that were on a separate page entitled something like Site Policies, with no ads nearby, then possibly it might be acceptable.

If, on the other hand, it's in the opening paragraph on the main index page and more especially if it has ads located nearby, then it could easily be seen as drawing undue attention to those ads.

If it were me I'd want clarification from Google. They might tell you to lose that text - but better that than to lose the account.
