Would there be an interest in directories for sale?

As I see so many directories for sale here, in other forums, on ebay.
I thought maybe if there was interest, I would get good domain names, load up with either phpld ver 2 or ver 3, populate with categories to go with the domain, either do it myself if I can in customizing it a bit, or having it done.
Then sell them off here.
Not only general directories, but niche directories like:

business--medical--auto--sports--etc

Not knowing up front what it would cost for customizing if I had it done, I figure such a site would go at a minimum of $40.

Would you buy a directory already to go brand new?

I am always watching for something special. Dont know what it would be, but I do pay close attention when I see a directory for sale. I think in combo with a decent domain, you may have a winner.

 

I agree. most buyers are paying high bin thru the name. generic, brand, etc...
