Would Starting a Directory be a Prudent Choice Given the Recent Google Penalties?

    The user wants to add to his passive income so i doubt quality can arise when a directory is created for purpose of income.

    Whatever you do create the directory for the people not the engines! Its the quality of the listings not the quantity...

    Thank you all for your responses. I'm not just looking to make a quick buck, but rather trying to understand if launching a directory is worth the time and effort compared to other online ventures. I call this income passive, purely on the basis that I do not expect any income generated from a directory or number of directories to replace my day job (although I'm sure some of you have probably done this).

    It all depends on how you promote it. Promote it intelligently and you will be far away from any penalty whatsoever.
