Would site maps help my forums?

    Would having a site map help my forum get listed better?

    Does vb have a sitemap installed when you first install it?

    A sitemap will help but dont expect results right away. Vbulletin doesnt come with a sitemap but you can get one at vb.org

    Sitemaps will help getting your form indexed faster. In particular if you make sure they just include the form threads/posts and not e.g. also user profiles etc.

    you can install vbseo. It also includes sitemap generator.

    IMO, a site map is essential for forums.

    The number of indexed pages for my forum went up sharply after I started using a sitemap.
