would people be interested in this and would it work

    My marketing idea to get a lot of affiliates to promote my site for a relatively small price is to offer a contest where the winner gets $100 or something similar. The contest will include them advertising my business in as many places as they can then emailing me a diary of what they have done

    I will choose somebody everymonth who i feel has done the best and also done the most unique ways

    What do you think, would i have much interest

    How much would they make advertising another program? If it's more than your prize then I'm willing to bet they will work on the other product.

    Ask yourself just one question: Would I do this? Answer honestly.

    If the answer is a genuine yes then others probably will also.

    How about creating a whole bunch of content about your specific product and offer it for free use by your affiliates. Then organize some sort of a contest, like a SEO contest for your competitors product name? Offer big prizes like plasma TVs and laptops. That will get attention and probably a lot of links as well.

    well my product is a free arcade, free hsoting for it and over 2000 games

    So what other way would you suggest

    High score contest

    Who ever registers with your site and has the highest score for a certain game wins a prize.

    Say something like an iPhone or an Xbox??

    Make it extravagant and let the contest run for a while... you'll collect a lot of great links and traffic. By the time you have to give away a prize you should have earned the money already.

    Hows that for an idea?

    good idea but i think you miss understood me

    I dont actually have a arcade and my site isnt a arcade

    ITs a site that allows you to sign up and recieve your own arcade on your doamin including games and all hosting all for free

    I wouldn't do it for 100$ each month. it's almost free advertising for your site that way. If you'd go as high as 1k or 5k a month, you'll attract VERY serious people who will actually compete each other in promotion to get to the first place - which will give you hundreds of thousands of links in a very short time.
    It's like paying an SEO company to do the SEOing, but here you pay to one person, and get actually many people who try to SEO/bring traffic to your site.
