Would love some opinions on whats going on here?

    Hi all,
With regards to google, my site is now no longer showing up for many of my url's. Previous searches on certain keywords would yield some pages on my site, in high rankings. Now they have all literally dropped off completely, not even in the top 1000! Others are still visible, but only due to the home page, and thats what returns in the query, but seriously low down, like on 6th page or so.

I'm wondering whats going on? The site is php with search engine friendly urls, nothing apart from the host changing register_globals (which was amended within 1 day so all back up and working perfectly). Google still seems to have some of my pages in the url friendly format in the index. But it has some in the cache, that do not come up in a search, even if you put the name of the site and the name of the page. All that comes up is the home page, and then pages of other sites with links back to my page.

I'd really love to know if anyone else is having this kind of problem, or has seen or heard of this? It just seems really odd, wondering whether its something my host or I can fix?

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Hi,

    Sorry, the url is http://www.latifrugs.com

I have been reading a lot, and have stumbled across the big daddy update issue. I have looked on the datacentre for big daddy, and within literally 5 minutes, the search results changes!

    For example:
    http://66.249.93.104/search?hl=en&q=ziegler+rugs&btnG=Google+Search

brings up my url for ziegler rugs
    http://www.latifrugs.com/index/Ziegler_Rugs/

but the same datacentre, 3 minutes earlier gave the following:
    http://66.249.93.104/search?hl=en&q=ziegler+rugs&btnG=Google+Search
and my ziegler rugs url isn't even on any page, my home page is however, on page 2. It clearly is not as relevant to the search as my Ziegler rugs page.

I can tell the search has been done ever so slightly differently, but I didn't do anything differently, nor do I know what the differences are. What does the "q" and the "hl" mean?

I dont know if it will return the same results for you when you click the search urls, as they are both from the same datacentre but change data each type you search.

    Thanks in advance

From investigating further it seems google's new main centre has an old url of mine, that doesn't actually really exist anymore, and has a sessionid appended to the end of it, which was disallowed by my robots.txt. Funny thing is the url still seems to work, as its a rewritten one, which I think is mapping any part of a url that seems to match with something similar in the database.
