Would like your inputs on Hostgator

I would like any opinions on the page loading speed of Hostgator if any body has any websites being hosted on them. Any other companies which are good with a good speed.

I have had very good luck with host gator. They offer packages with CPanel and are pretty reliable. Their service is good too. If you have an issue with your sites or hosting account you just submit a ticket and let them trouble shoot it for you. Again I have had good luck with Hostgator!

 

I have a VPS with Hostgator and its very fast.

 

I see the higher you come the less they know. The support is great on a small level but i can see now when i got a dedicated server the support is almost flat the people do not know what they talking about and need to refer to an admin all the time.

 

Hostgator is great in both customer support and speed, but as you grow you will have to move to a dedicated or vps because they have limits on cpu and memory usage that you're allowed to consume.

 

the limits are annoying... dont expect to be able to grow a site too big

 

not cheap.. very fast .. great customer support.. excellent service ..

Oops. Just realized I'm replying to a 55 days old post ... hope that would still be useful to other members

 

Hostgator - Awesome host, ive been dealing with them for a while now and they have excellent services.

When they were in startup mode, they did have some teething issues but now with their size - Huge company, huge demands and if you dont reach those demands - you never make it as big as they have.

 

They have really good customer service. They are have a good affiliate program. Things could be different now because I used it a few years back.

 

From what I hear, they are OK for smaller sites, but I would personally not trust them for serious projects.

 

I am always on the phone or live chat with HostGator, whenever anything goes wrong they are there to fix it. Usually nothing does though, things will be different depending on your needs, but the service is nice.
