Hi everyone, I am going to be putting up a SEO Site ( I have spend nearly a year, day and night learning about SEO on and offpage inside out ) I was just wanting your opinion as to what domain you liked better. My target market will be primarily males aged 22 - 38, I am sure I will have everything in between come aswell but my marketing will be to that dem. I plan on offering services and consulting to fix up their sites, etc here are two domains I own, just wanted to get and idea of which one people liked better. Thank you in advance www.organicseoguru.com or www.organicsearchguru.com
I like them both - what you might want to do is acquire both of them and redirect one to the other. But why are you only targeting men? Seems kind of odd to me that you'd leave the women out.
I do have both of them currently, i wasnt trying to be sexiest etc, but I run several businesses and can only devote so much time to this one... and in my experience I have more action taken with less questions from men which equates into a higher revenue stream, perhaps I will have to rethink that...
In theory if you've been doing your research properly you can use www.applecidar.com and still rank properly for any SEO keywords, phrases or long tails that you like. The domain name keywords play a role in search results, but "nothing" compared to the content and how the content is structured on your web pages. If however you want a choice, the first one is better in my opinion. I guess it's the "in" thing to do!
(OT) I don't know what's worse ssandecki, the fact that you chose that domain name as an example or the fact that both it and applecider.com are parked.
Nothing. I just felt like mentioning that both domains are currently being parked. Now if I had the money to get those domains...
I like the second one better. But both are good. You might use both domains to create a little network: 1) organicseoguru.com - your main site with SEO services overview, quotes, information, testimonials etc... 2) organicsearchguru - you might be slowly creating a SEO resource site there or a SEO blog... 3) Now you can exchange deep links between these sites and build up a small network - this will help you with SEO, too.
I like organicsearchguru.com more. SEO is an extremely overused term. "Seo guru" sounds a bit like "Hey, I'm the best and I know all the golden money making secrets, buy my ebook", while "search guru" doesn't trigger any negative associations and sounds like more "Yes, I know the engines and I know what I do"...my biased impression. Call me mad, but SEO is a term your possible customers often won't understand (they know "Search Engine Optimization", they just don't know the abbreviation) and since many media pick the catchy blackhat and spammer stories, it's not the #1 choice. The classic SEO customer isn't a guy posting on DP or entering "organic seo" in google, it's a small biz owner with an aweful homepage who heard that a competitor is very successful because many people find his site and products on the internet.
