Would like to buy domain, invalid registration info

I would like to purchase a domain name which is already registered.

The owner has actually prepaid for the next 10 years, but the domain is not really being used.

I attempted to contact the seller through the ICANN listed contact email address - no reply.

The ICANN info is all wrong, there is NO DATA other than an email address. About 1 month ago I tried reporting the invalid ICANN registration information, but nothing has been done.

How can I go about getting the ICANN information updated? If the guy is not responding, or the email address listed there (the only info listed) is invalid then the domain name owner can't be contacted.

    What can I do?

A domain not in use does not mean the owner does not need it any more. If you email the owner and you had no reply its possible they are not interested. Find out who is the provider for the domain name and start from there?

    1. Contact the registrar.
    2. Brainstorm and register a new domain name.

There is no ICANN rules that the owner have to response to you if they don;t want to
invalid email would bounce, receiving no response does not mean an invalid email address
