Would Implementing "Google Search" on site help with indexing?

Hey Gang,

I was wondering if anyone has experimented with implementing "Google Search" on their site. Specifically I am wondering if I implemented a "Google Search" for pages on my site, will this help maximize and maintain the indexing of all site pages on G?

well, if you are implementing a G search for your site wide search you would think that G would index all your pages so that your users can find what they are looking for - NO?

 

I dont think so as adding a G search just searches through your index pages but doesnt tell google to give you special treatment in regards to indexing all or additional pages.

that is just my opinion.

 

It is my understanding that the returned results are only those pages currently indexed.

 

Interesting ... I just did a small test. Searched for a "." (period) on my site and it brought up all my indexed pages not all of my pages.
