Would I benefit from an adwords campaign if I use adsense?

The websites only income is adsense, so I'm thinking no.

I also have a website in web & graphic design, is this a good business to use an adsense campain on?

If you were to run adwords and only had adsense you will lose your hinny adwords is only good if you have other sources for making money like affiliate programs. If you are just wanting traffic to your site for the adsense then just do free marketing like articles, twitter, facebook ect. If you did adwords and you only had adsense on it for the income source everyone who clicks to visit your site not everyone will click on your ads while they are there and if they do you might pay .40 a click to get them there and only get .06 back like the click I got today only .06 As for the web graphic design site you could try a campain but start small and work up see what happens.

    Well this is my plan/idea:

For my web and graphic design company, the website also does tutorials, list of termiology, advice, articles, downloads, all sorts of things design related, that part of the site will have adsense, so the adwords might be useful because my main priority is getting clients from the site. The tutorials and whatnot are just to drive traffic and make the site more popular - it might help get backlinks to the articles and whatnot.

For my media sharing website, I was thinking of doing entry fee competitions, and selling my own font/typefaces. So I think they both have a potential here, but yes, like you said, I should take it slow.
