Would I be able to get this site ranked high, or am I wasting my time?

    Go for longer tail keywords or similar, but less traffic keywords. You may have to reach for the higher lying fruit.

    anything having to do with free traffic would be like shooting for the moon. Find a longer tailed keyword or bid via SEM/PPC on these keywords.....because ranking for them is nearly impossible!
