Would Hitler have been a great prophet had he won WWII?

I had a conversation with a friend of mine the other day and we touched on it on this thread. We were discussing the validity of the following:

"If Hitler had won WWII and succeeded in his ethnic cleansing, he would have become one of histories greatest prophets". (By great he meant by the standard of number of followers and those who believe in his doctrine in the decades and centuries after him)

    What are your thoughts?

A prophet isn't someone who has doctrines, it's someone who produces prophesies. And Hitler never predicted the future (other than "we shall win"). To many he is a great historical figure, even now. (That's an observation, not a proclamation.)

No, because his despicable followers would find out that Hitler was in fact a Jew, and they would hate him for that.

He might have become a Global Hero, if he had not attacked the Soviets...The cold war would have been then between America and Germany...

Had he not attack soviets, the Soviets would have attack him and win much faster than they did.

That is the biggest speculation of the twentieth century, no one knew what was in the mind of Stalin.

Hitler wasn't a prophet. If he was, then he could have predicted that it wasn't a good idea to invade Russia during the winter because his armor and infantry would sink in ten feet of snow.

The Japanese did not honour the Tripartite Pact. And Hitler foolishly declared war on America after the American declaration against Japan! :D

Hitler conducted experiments on humans to see if he could produce or evolve the perfect "aryan race" which supposedly was the synthesis of a perfect race of human beings. Anybody who thinks like that as did he, has got to be brain-dead..

I dont think 'prophet' will be best described for hitler. He has the destructive instinct on him, he could be hero for his race , but being destructive is not the way of prophet giving an enlightenment.

actually quite opposite. The hallmark of every prophet is killing and sacrifice to create a superior society and rule others.

Hitler held a strong position among his followers already, even at the very end..

So if he had won, it wouldn't have changed anything, he would have been the greatest leader among his followers, but to his enemies he wouldn't have been anything but a heartless mass murderer.
If he had won and claimed that all he had done was the will of God then yeah, his follower might have considered him a prophet or a messiah but not rest of the world.

What makes you think like that?

I dont think USSR was ready for the war and the huge casualties is the outcome.
