Hello, Do you think that domain parking for just 8 domains could prove profitable? I wouldn't count on too much traffic from typos and wrongly typed in URLs. I believe GoDaddy offers domain parking for 4$ a month. Could this payout for itself at least? How "safe" is it for me to post the domains, if you guys would like to know the domain names? Thanks for all your opinions (and sorry for my newbie questions, but I have to start somewhere )
you can park your domains at all the other parking companies for FREE, and get paid for every click. Most parking companies such as trafficz and fabulous etc require you to have a minimum of 50 or 100 domains to sign up.. but many more allow you to park with them with only a few. I can recommend www.premiumtraffic.com I used them for over a year before I recently switched to www.parkingpanel.com You can also park them at www.sedo.com but they do not pay too well for ppc, I'm sure they keep most of the income for themselves (just my opinion, I have no proof)
It will be profitable I guess if you had good traffic coming in from them. If you don't get no traffic then you will not really earn per click.
I would try and use the free parking site first before you spend any money with godaddy, just to try it out and see how well it goes for you
It kind of depends entirely on the url. But most of the time, no, you probably won't even make enough to pay off the cost of the domain itself.
Generic .com's/typed in domains then parking would be profitable. However if they are just your average domain then parking isnt really the solution. Also parking is free even though godaddy like to charge people for the use of it. There are companies such as namedrive etc.
Thank you all for the tips. I believe it would probably start generating SOME revenue only after I get a bunch of domains not 8. Also, how do I find out how much type-in traffic do I have? Any tools for that? Or should I host my domains, and make a small script so I count the page loads myself?
