Ive been looking around at godaddy and it seems a lot of my major competive keywords are available in domain names such as: buy-xxxx-xxxxx.com or where-to-buy-xxxx-xxxxx.com and even individual products. Would these help me if I buy them and put and article on it, then link to my main site? Since these are specific searched phrases according to wordtracker, they should rank naturally right?
i was thinking just 1 page with about 500-1k word article and then link to my site. would that be sufficient? I dont want to make a full site out of them..
Without much content on it, I guess you could do some link building for these landing pages which should help them rank better, serp wise.
Having your keyword in your domain name is helpful but there are many other contributing factors as well.
I definitely think it helps. I am a ghostwriter and I do a lot of research via google. Many of the sites that pop up in the top 10 of my research are of keyword rich domains.
Thanks for the replies, however I dont hink I explained enough what I planning on doing. I have my main ecommerce site which has a brandable name, not a keyword name.. Im looking to buy these random keyword names and simply put an article on it which directs to my main web site. Will these sites rank naturally since they are direct phrases? Or will they need full SEO?
