Would buying in £'s put you off?

    Hi everybody.

I'm thinking of doing a linkbid directory to supplement my income and as a little project. In the past, I have always offered advertising in dollar form. I wouldn't mind switching it to my own currency, pound, largely because of a domain name I have found which will host it.

However, would the rest of the world be put off by advertising on it because it'd be more expensive? I mean, at the moment a pound is around the two dollar mark.

    I would like your opinions.

Well, in the end it would depend on how much you be charging.

If you do something like US$2 now and you charge £2 then of course you may lose some customers but if you do something like £0.99 then it would probably look cheap because of the smaller dollar value.

    Oooh, that's a good point eddy :)

It's the whole psychology thing, isn't it? That £4.99 looks a lot less than £5.00, even though there's only a penny in it.

The price matters, not the currency.
