Would article distribution improve SERPS?

Considering that most articles get distributed to PR 0 pages, would regular article distribution improve SERPS? I do see a benefit in that you get to submit with your chosen acnchor in the article, which in theory should have a positive effect. Or, is article distribution purley for the purpose of buliding reputaion?

Does anyone know how many anchor texts Isnare allows within the body of the article (excluding signature) through their distribution service?

Maximum allowed number of links is 3

The real purpose for me is to distribute the article to all the different article directories and hope that other webmasters will pick them up and publish them on their websites. This will surely improve SERP.

Bottom line is you need great articles that will interest other webmasters :)

Agreed, Article mass-distrubtion is only effective for the short term.

As far as i know, most dont allow links in the body, and some dont allow direct links in the signature, but you should have an option for two signatures

"Do not exceed the number of allowed links in the bio or "About the Author" section and the article body. Maximum allowed number of links is 3, some considerations by our editors could be implemented to allow 4. Maximum allowed number links is the total of the links in the about the author section and the article body."

    Here is the full guidelines:

Some of my articles end up on PR0 websites, and some of them end up on websites like Lycos.com (on a page by itself with a current PR7). Good articles travel far and wide ... weak ones do not.

I would focus on writing fantastic articles that offer something valuable to readers (like a list of resources, step-by-step information, etc.). They'll find their way onto high-ranking sites, especially if you're proactive about it.

    Good luck.

article distribution definitely improves SERPS, no doubt. but it also really depends on the article's quality. junk articles do not work.
