Do you know anyone who is interested in dog agility who would be interested in taking over my forum? It's a small UK based community and the members are very friendly. I would love someone with a genuine interest in dogs to host it and look after it. Unfortunately my website has grown so big that I'm spending more time on the computer than I am with my dogs. The forum is at http://www.agilitybits.co.uk/forum/index.php
First i am interested how you got all the members...... 'cause i am running a forum too, but there is no one. So pls pm me the details!
Hey, I live in Devon (just up the road, kind of!) I would be interested to hear more about the forum and things. Please PM me, I am a real dog lover, have a black labrador!
Yeah I'd go with Isaac's suggestion. One of your members or mods would be best for it, at least then you know it's going to someone who will put it to good use.
My Dad once trained the best trained puppy that Won that title in Totnes Cornwall at the Dog training instructors awards meeting one year some years back. I could train certain dogs to jump six foot plus fences with an egg in their mouth without breaking it or perhaps to Track say to find "Black Diamond" Truffles to make a living from or other trackable things including being aware Dogs are able to see the circumstances of accidents etc in the air if this offer has not been settled yet?
Guys, I don't think she has any mods for her forum, That is the reason why she is spending so much time on the computer, and so is looking to give the forum to someone else!
Well then...maybe she should just make some trusted members mods, saves her doing much on the forum. But I thought it was due to hosting issues (taking up too much bandwidth maybe).
i agree with the idea to give over your forum to trusted person only. Perhaps someone in your closed commnity? friends, colleagues, classmates, etc...? since you're just not assigning mods (which you can still specify permissions), BUT giving the whole forum. Your forum depends on the perosn running it. If the person you dont know take over, his/her intention may be 1. really want to help (less likely) 2. to advertise own sites 3. to steal your members.
Thanks. I'll think about getting some modrators but I'm hoping that someone from the agility community can take it over for me. A lot of people who run agility dogs also have their own websites and they might be glad to have forum. I have a lot of visitors coming to the site and some of them are beginners who really want to discuss the sport. I'll pm details to people who've asked for them.
