Just want to get your opinions on whether Affiliate Programs would work for my site, or whether it is better to concentrate on Adsense etal?

    Thanks!

It depends on your traffic. Is it targeted enough? What kind of Affiliate Program are you going to have?

What is youe site, and in which niche? You can add the two, and test. I did that on one of my blogs, and I finally ddropped adsense for affiliate programs.

    It was a wise choice.

Remember: What works for others may not work for you ==> TEST

You should test many programs and see which fits to your niche.

Well, MoreNiche is Nottingham (UK) based affiliate program and released brand new weight loss product - Proactol ( www.proactol.com ) along with other products.

You might want to try - up to 160$ (80 pounds) per sale and on some products even more. If interested, check out MoreNiche website!

If the model of your website is to provide information to surfers (message boards, news articles, recipes, etc), meaning they are coming to you and reading/interacting on many pages of your site in a single visit, then affiliate programs probably aren't best suited for your traffic.

If your site model is to send people to other websites (such is the case with freebie sites, loyalty programs, product reviews) then affiliate marketing would work well for you.

Thanks! Our site is aimed at sending people to other sites where there are deals, although a lot of information about the deals is stored withing out pages.

Deals... then affiliate marketing would work best, probably more so with the shopping cart type merchants that you can find at CJ, Shareasale.com and Linkshare as opposed to CPA networks like our MaxBounty.com. That said, there are a few trial based offers we have on our network which would suit that traffic well (privacy matters, bargain, etc) with a low cost to the surfer and high payout to the affiliates... but many of the common CPA campaigns would take away from the honest feeling needed to capture that return visitor which is so valuable to your model.

I have added 2 more site to my "portfolio" (so to speak), you can see them in the signature.

Question is - am I using Affiliate marketing on those sites to it's full potential. Any tips?

Also, are there any good PPC Affiliates as I would like also to include at least some PPC banners and links.

    Thanks!

It would be best to try them yourself and then see. Although if you do not have much experience with affiliate programs in general and just have experience with Adsense then you may find it harder to earn with affiliate programs. But if you don't try, you will never know.

I would say affiliate marketing would be the best option.
But it is better for you to test things out. Maybe try out adsense for a month and then affiliate programs for the next month.

    just my 2 cents

why not offer a bunch of valuable free information filled with affiliate links throughout. And also include adsense?? what kind of site are you working with??? that really makes the difference, if you are personally offering products you mabye wouldn't want to use too much adsense as it may draw away from your sales.

If you do use Adsense and affiliate programs together then it is always best to not go over board and over do it with the ads.

    My site is http://www.dealslocally.co.uk ...
I have a couple of affiliate links, but Adsense seems to be working better. Perhaps I need a different affiliate strategy.
