Hello Dpers, I have a question about aff/cpa companies and their power. This is just an example: If I would promote my website on google adwords and someone clicked on my ad and was redirected to my website. If that visitor would click on one of my banners on my website and generate a lead or sale.. would the CPA company be able to see that that visitor came from google to my website?.. to make is short, would those companies be able to see your traffic sources? I hope not actually, it would give em great power Please answer my question Thanks
Not all affiliate networks can view your traffic source, however some can view exactly where the clicks are originating from.So when you tell them you are promoting from your site and you are bringing traffic from an adult site, they know all that. When the time to pay you comes and you dont get a check you already know why.
I think some can if you direct poeple to the page where the ads are on. I'm also not 100% sure on this though.
No, they are not able to see where a visitor comes from if you have a link like domain.com/affiliate_id=xxx on your website. They can only see that if you installed a javascript code from them. As a conclusion, if you have some javascript from them, they are able to see that, but it doesn't mean that they really are.
yes they can if banner code comes with java script (Not difficult to do most of the things) . and traffic is coming directly on landing page from your source.
They can ask you questions regarding your traffic source though. But they won't be able to see the traffic source of your website unless you also paste the javascript.
I recently had a bunch of craigslist clicks for one of my ticket broker affiliate programs. The affiliate manager e-mailed me saying that I did not have that down as one of my advertising url's. I use about 15 different ticket broker affiliate programs and this was the only one that ever said anything
