I am listed in DMOZ and have been waiting for the Google Directory to update for awhile.

Just wondering if you think it would have any weight on being taken out of the sandbox.

Nope.. not from my experience anyways.. I believe the algorthm treats dmoz links like every other type of link... The only thing that happens with dmoz that is different from other aquired links is that it gets syndicated and your link is carried on many sites.

But from my experience, it hasn't helped.. I have both dmoz and non-dmoz sites that have been in the sandbox..

DMOZ is overrated. I have a site listed since August and still AWOL in Google. Does fine in all non-Google SEs.

I think the only thing Google cares about when pulling a website out of the sandbox is what Google says about them. DMOZ, Yahoo, MSN and all others have no bearing on the sandbox. It's a waiting game.

It's just so frustrating seeing other sites rank better for NO reason.
