I have an opportunity to join an affiliate program for a porn DVD club. Would it be against Adsense TOS? In the Adsense Program Policies it says sites should not DISPLAY "Pornography, adult, or mature content". My site in question has no such material but is video related -- but does that include linking via an affiliate ad to a site that does have mature content?? I'm interested because it pays well and I used to subscribe to the service. It's the best adult DVD rental site in my opinion.
Go back and reread those policies and tell us Content doesn't have to be a "picture" You are promoting porn in their eyes just by linking to it.
I know goog doesn't have to play by their own rules BUT how can they sell adsense ads for adultfriendfinder or some of the other sites that come up if you do a search for "naked women" etc? If those ads came up by chance on a regular site couldn't THAT be construed as linking to a mature content site??
Operative word: sell. They seem to loosen their restrictions if someone is buying something compared to someone like us making money from it.
K - well I sent them an email outlining the situation and will post an update when I get one straight from the "horses mouth"
Thanks, be interesting to hear what they say...who knows, they may be cool with it. You're definitely safer asking permission rather than forgiveness in this case
