    Hi,

Just wondering would putting a site on an old dot com domain (And with a bit of backlink building) outrank an already established dot net domain with lots of backlinks? (Both are the exact same domain name)

    Any info appreciated

com, net, and org are all rating fairly equal in my experience. It will be other factors (ie. backlinks, on-site seo, etc) that will determine which will win the race!

    Cheers,

Agree with CcKilian. It all depends on how you carry out your on-page and off-page SEO. Heck, even a .info can outrank a .com with proper SEO implementation.
