Well my partner and I met whilst we were both in the Army (that seems to come up a lot, anyone would think I'm advocating joining the Army. I'm not, it sucks, don't do it kids!) and now that I'm out she's actually encouraging me to do it. She wants to work the mines when she discharges meaning someone will have to be home to look after the dog and that. So it works out well for us.

 

I think it depends more on the values that each of you have in common. If you both like computers and love to play video games, then great. But if one likes outdoor stuff, and the other has a LCD tan, well.......perhaps something needs to be worked out.
