Would 5000 PR 0 backlinks do any good?

    I don't know about 5000 back links, but most of the time the articles that I write and submit to article directories have a PR of 0 on the specific page for the article...and right now I'm a PR 3 so it helps. And yes article marketing is my prefered choice of free advertising.

    Google could very well penalize you because the links are coming from irrevent sites.....also 5000 instant backlinks could send up a red flag.

    Any number multiplied by 0 equals 0 so wouldn't they have no effect on the algorithm that determines page rank? I thought a site has to at least have a pr1 to give you any value?

    as long as they are spaced out evenly to not look like "Burst Links-acquiring many links too soon" and are not from bad neighborhood, you are lucky to have such a situation. :D
