Worth selling products?

    Aloha,

How much can you expect to make from selling a product on ClickBank (i.e. actually selling your own stuff, not promoting somebody else stuff as an affiliate)?

I have a half-finished ebook that I can finish and sell, but I don't know if it's worth it. The ebook is about a health topic.

It will probably take me 2 weeks to complete the book. In 2 weeks I can also make 4-5 niche sites with AdSense, etc. that will make around $20/day in total.

So the question is: Will I make more money/day from my ebook than I will from a few niche sites?

    Thank you, Mads

depends on what the niche is exactly. if its just general health topic then probably won't earn you much but if its a new field there might be some interested but then again it would be very limited field to sell to. Its very tough to get started but once you get over the first hurdle it can be all down hill.

and you should set commission at 75% so if you sold your book for 20$ then you get 5$ and they advertiser gets 15$, but whats great about that is you don't do any promoting you just get the visitors sent to your site and they buy from you. so 5$ a pop might not sound like a lot but when theres 1,000s of people going to your site a day. then a couple hundred sounds pretty good.

It depends on the demand and competition for your ebook.
If people like your ebook, you can earn more as a vendor than as an affiliate.

It depends how you promote your product.

Advantage of being a vendor is you can also build a list of subscribers along with sales :)

Build the niche sites if they really brings in the money! If they do, you can focus on the promotion of your e-book:)
E-books are hard to predict, if you do everything right, and its a good book too, its still possible to go unnoticed and make 0 money from it

    Why not do both??

I would do this... Build a niche site and have the visitors subscribe to newsletters. When you have the mass, then start emailing them about your ebook. Sometimes, it doesn't have to be a "this" or "that" issue. And, since you already have the book half done, don't give up. At the very least, you can offer it as a bonus to sign up for newsletter and this adds value.

    Hope this helps.

Only thing is I make a nice income from my content sites, so I don't want to waste time on an ebook if it isn't worth anything.

e-book can be much more profitable because of the possible affiliates. IF you promote it well... so there is more money and there is more "if" :)
