I have two scripts that I recently finished programming, a php arcade script and a php link trading script. My question is to other php programmers ... what has your experience been in click-thru to purchase? Would it be worth spending some Adwords money or would I be better focusing on other means of advertising?
I have found Adwords to be a very good way to get exposure to a product/website. To make it effective and get people actually buying your product you need a product that people actually want to buy. For example: I have a friend selling a crabgrass removal recipie: http://www.crabgrassbegone.com/ He had great response with Adwords but wasn't getting the sales because his message was and still is not quite good enough IMO.
Google users are more technical in nature than people searching on other networks like Enhance (ah-ha), Brainfox etc. You'll get clicks from the other networks but very few conversions. I would stick with AdWords and try your stuff there. I think it's the perfect place for something like that. Andrew www.adwording.com www.dxout.com
