I've recently been thinking of back ordering one domain. That led me to check on my other domains to see when they expire. One expired just a couple of days ago. Doh! Now I'm considering whether to bother recovering it or even if it is worth the registration fee. Here are some of the details There are two key words. The two key words are both very short This is a dot com No back links No exact searches PPC Ads Score 0 Frequency 15,300 Anchor Text 11,400 Estibot valueation $70 The chance of random traffic due to someone typing the two keywords are zero. There is an additional problem with the keywords that never occurred to me when I picked up the domain. It is sexist. I don't mean offensive, just that it only includes one gender (men). So it might be lousy for business. I had picked it up because it sounded cute. But the sexist problem makes me think it could lose me money as a business '.com'. I have the traffic for the site which shows 11,000 to 400 hits per month (very variable!) for the past 7 months (I was using it to list some ebay items). Before that traffic was flat zip. Any suggestions?
I think you should keep it for just the reg fee. You can always just use the e-mail for niche marketing purposes. There is also a foundation that is accepting domain donations (porn or non-family friendly) and putting clean content on them to protect childern and limit its usage away porn. You will have to do some research on that though.
