Worth of this site

I am considering selling one of my sites due to need of money. Before i go to that step though i need to know how much its worth still. I will post some data below and hope some of you guys can at least give me a rough calculation as to how i could sell it for.

Its a Resident Evil fansite exisiting since almost 7 years. The URL is httx://www.rehorror.net/thirdeye06 (remove x with p)

The traffic ranges from 1500-4000 visitors/day depending on releases or other hot news. Its considered the best RE fansite on the net. There's loads of content and i use the following income streams:

Google Adsense, Kontera, ValueClickMedia, astore and a cafepress t-shirt store. Monthly revenue is about 6xx.
It has a PR4 and receives its traffic from exclusive news and SE traffic. No PPC advertising at all.

I hope thats enough info your you guys to give me a rough idea as to how much i could sell the site for. Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

 

man the thumb rule in this market says the price is 10X monthly earning
so your site worth around 6xxx
though its not a fixed formula

 

Site is very well done, I agree should be worth around mid xxx, you will need to varify the income for buyer.

 

Without knowing the exact revenue for the last 12 months, it's hard to say but taking into account the following

Strong Points
- 1167 Average Visitors per Day
- You have 20,283 external link backs Yahoo
- You are running vBulletin

Weak Points
- Your forum has a high post to user ratio, typically not a good sign
- You have a very high thread to post ratio, typically a bad sign
- Alexa Rating of 349,178
- Site is not SEO optimized already
- It's a PR4 site
- You have 12 link backs on Google

General Points
- 865 Pages Indexed on Google
- 1,734 Pages Indexed on Yahoo
- About 5% of the pages have PR Values
- You are in the game industry.

Overall, site is worth about $200 and $750 depending on the buyer. Could be more or less depending on revenue.

 

I would personally value the site a little higher than $6,000 as I believe that the site can be monetized further.

pc_user did you mean it's worth $2,000 to $7,500 right? Considering the site earns $6xx / month $200 - $750 is outrageously low...

That being the case, if you can prove the revenue is that range, then I would say based on the above factors, it's worth between $1,500 and $2,500

Yes, it can definitely be monetized much better but that isn't the case. People often look to these sites for the fact that they are undervalued and their value is as such.

Based on the fact that it's a game forum, it's value to 3 to 4x revenue, which is sadly the case as game sites are a dime a dozen. This one however is somewhat complex and established.

My advice would be to get the revenue up to $,$$$ a month and optimize the site with seo work and a new global design and you could probably see a mid $,$$$ price tag.
