Worth my time to submit to 1000 directories? Who can submit for me?

    My site seems like it would be more of a word of mouth thing rather than something that people are searching for. I don't know how many people are going to search for "user submitted news", but I feel that it wouldn't be many.

    So my question is like the title says. Is it really going to be worth submitting to 1000 directories? I also wanted to know if any of you have actual experience with using some of the members here who will submit your site to multiple directories for a small fee. Were you happy with one submitter more so than another?

    Testimonials are a powerful thing. :)

    @Bubblemate
    I think you are talking about feedback for my directory submission service.
    Well, you may just go through the thread & read the feedback yourself & you may also check the iTrader ratings left by some of the clients.

    Directory submissions can work sometimes for a new site but it takes a long time to get good credit for the links.

    Not to step on the toes of submission services like some of the replies you are getting but.........

    Have you considered doing some Pay Per Click advertising on Google or Yahoo? This will tell you what keywords you are getting the clicks for and you'll know how you want to submit your site when you actually do submit them.

    You could also use the PPC traffic as an opportunity to collect the names and email addresses of people interested in your services so you can follow up with them.

    Just a thought but if you are going to pay to submit your site, wouldn't it be money better spent if you drove traffic to your site or blog with PPC?
