I've had an IPB license for over a year now and would defaintly say the vB one is worth it :)

Worked on a few vB sites for friends and wish I had a license for it instead.

Is buying a vB license worth it? If you have the money and your forums are going to go places, definitely. Is buying a vB license better than an IPB license? That is debateable and at this point, there is no clear answer (although many people will be more than happy to tell you there is :p)

Don't buy a vB license if you're just testing out an idea...I wouldnt invest in it unless you know for sure what you are doing with it.

You can always start with phpbb or something and then move.

If you've already purchased a vB license, then you should definitely use it - you might as well, you spent good money on it!
