    Not sure ringtonegeezer.

I've had a look at both Clicksor and Adbrite at the w/e and the look quite good. Not as flexible as AdSense but worth a try.

I've been reading that Clicksor doesn't have the same technology as AdSense that can make the ad relevant to the text on the page which is a shame.

Depends on you. Adsense isn't the answer for everything. Adult popup ads pay up to $5 eCPM. It depends on the owner not the topic, that depends on how much money you make.

I have a real thing against pop-ups. I'd have to be desperate to use those - sorry personal choice (I may one day have to eat these words ;) )

You should definitely split the site into two. That way your non-adult content isn't tainted by association, and you can have it on a site that isn't filtered out by adult filters, or excluded from sources of traffic such as directories that don't allow adult content. Those are two advantages quite apart from the question of how to make money from your content.

The other thing is, how does Adsense determine what your content is? It analyses the text. So you have links to an adult section in your navigation, i.e. a bit of text that appears on all of your pages, "Porn Here!" or something, then if you have just the one site Adsense could consider the whole thing to be adult (depending on what wording you use). It is probably much simpler to avoid this issue by splitting your site into two.

    Hi Obelia,

I've gone with AdBrite for the time being and although I haven't rolled it out accross the site yet it's making some pennies.

The long-term plan is to split the site in two but I've just started a new job and my time is limited.

This has been a great thread. I've learnt so much since I started it. Thanks All! :)
