Worth a try - probably wont get the answer I want - looking for quality advertisers

I hate PPC it never works for me so that is the end of that... however static links work great. I have been paying a webmaster monthly for years to advertise my directory (www.addyoursitefreesubmit.com) on his site and it gets results. I have spent a lot of time and research trying to find another quality site to advertise on and I am way overcharged with no results. I am looking for an SEO/traffic related site that has real visitors who actually use the site and not just stop by and leave. After all of these years only one site offers me quality traffic and I have profits. If only I can find ONE more site no matter how much the cost, if I get profit I will pay forever. Anyone know of such a site that would be a good fit for my directory? I paid one guy $500 per month and only two people clicked on my ad link.... I want results but it is impossible to find.

Search google for your main keywords, collect some websites that meets your needs, check their traffic by using quantcast or Google ad planner. Last step - most important - always start by purchasing a low cost test campaign. if the website owner is professional and confident in the quality of his traffic, he will agree.

If you get good results, create a long term deal and start paying for monthly ads.

If it's hard for you to research, then you can use ad networks like Adbrite ( choose the websites yourself based on their category and traffic reports as provided by the network ( double check the reports by using quantcast or Google ad planner ).

I would suggest the first option, if it's possible.

Sadly I have been doing exactly that and it hasn't worked but one time and I have been trying for a couple of years now to find another great site. I even advertised on Addme.com's homepage but they have so many links and ads on their page that my ad was never clicked.

Interesting. I recommend trying to advertise on moderately new websites, people who are so desperate to sell ads you can negotiate them down to very low prices. Facebook ads also is easy to customize and only costs around $0.30/1k views.

Well this may be obvious and you have probably tried it already ..... How about THIS site: digitalpoint.com ?It sounds like the folks you are interested in might well be here. Is this possible? You could also post articles on an article network like Unique Article Wizard. It wil cost you $67 per month but you get many links. Hope this helps a bit. All the best, InternetMarketing108

Basically, do you want traffic or do you want high PR links ? And do you actually know that sites like BuildMyRank.com have been banned by google ? If you use a paid service, you'll end up getting your account banned by google.

The thing is nobody visits those directories. I think they are useful to get indexed by the search engines but seriously how many people will take time to browse through them?
