    if I look for a host nowadays I always call and make sure that there customer/support and/or tech/support answers the phone regularly. If I get a voicemessage or am directed to an email form, I go to another company

    I normally would agree, but I hear that Yahoo is rather expensive and they are notorious for poor service

    The worst webhost I have ever used was Hostcentric. What a nightmare!

    Their email servers would crash, and then you'd lose all your stored emails.

    Write/Execute web folders would suddenly lose their permissions and revert to read-only without warning.

    They would double-charge your credit card. Call to get it fixed and they would reverse the second charge "in two to three weeks".

    No backups.

    After I finally canceled, they kept charging my credit card $2.50 a month. I couldn't get them to stop, so I changed my credit card number. Guess what? They sent me bills for the $2.50.

    Yahoo sounds like a dream compared to Hostcentric.

    LMAO... Sorry to laugh, but I had the same issues, so I am laughing with you not at you.

    The bait-and-switch tactic they used to raise my domain price from $9.95 to $34.95 cracked my up. I had 10 domains there and now I have zero. They are such a poorly run company I am not surprised that they got smoked by every newcomer on the block. They may pull their head out in time, but who knows.

    I was on the phone once with them for an hour and a half to explain a 10 second fix. The girl that finally "got it" was so sweet I felt sorry for her that she worked with such lame people. God Bless Her, I hope she didn't get fired for being too sharp and knowledgeable.

    ooh..., their price is too expensive for me..
    I have a good hosting company where I can chat and call them 24 hours.
    In my country, it's still expensive but they can solve my problem quickly.
