I have a new site ( 6 month old domain and 2 month of hosting on blogspot), when i compare with few competitor site my site look better in graphics, content and also better seo score( as given on whois.domaintool.com) . Why is it so ? IS IT BECAUSE THOSE SITE ARE OLDER THAN MINE OR ANYTHING ELSE?
When I compare few compititor site on parameter of *content *graphics *seo then mine site look better still other sites comes at top in google search. The only strength with compititor site is that they are older than mine.
Have you check number of backlinks? Relevancy? Quality backlinks? Domain factor? You are using blogspot there. There are over 200 factors involved in search ranking and domain age factor could be just one of it. I suggest you to open your eyes wide open and see other possible matters there. First of all, get a domain.
Search engines neither know nor care what a site looks like - use a lynx browser or similar to see what sites look like to bots. But yes, age of site does count in serps in general, a site builds up reputation. It builds up a backlinks profile, and the age and authority of those backlinks give it a natural advantage over a new site with new backlinks.
Do you know or atleast a reference site for the 200 factors involved in search ranking? I'm very interested on this..
It's not about what the website looks like, it's the content. But generally, a older website has a higher PR cause it got higer alexa rank. And there are many factors involved in search ranking and domain age factor could be just one of it.
There is absolutely no connection between Alexa rank and PageRank. Alexa pays no part in the Google algorithm whatsoever. It's a third party 'guesstimate' metric using data from a completely different company.
