Worst job you ever had?

At present I am focusing all my efforts on producing and marketing my own websites. I have a couple of design jobs going on at the moment. Both are non profit so the money is not that great.

Not so long ago, about two years, I was in a fix and had to work for six months as a kitchen porter in an Indian restaurant.

The job involved washing dishes and mopping up the floor at the end of the shift.

I guess it wasn't that bad but it was still the worst job that I ever did.

What about you? Have you done anything worse?

Working in a supermarket's produce section. I got to see how the food was left unwashed and lying around in dirty areas. I quit in less than 1 week and I never shop there for food! Whenevr you buy fruits or veggies ALWAYS WASH THEM!

Sounds like kp in the army. I hated that. How many people did the restaurant serve daily?

All my jobs have been cool at the time I had them. I wouldnt go back to any previous ones as I wouldnt like to work in a computer games shop any more. Or build computers like when I was 16. When I was 18 it was a cool thing to work in a games shop.

I think the worst job I ever had was when I was working at a chemical plant where they manufactured additives for animal foods.

    Hey Hamba Wena,

I'm with you on that! Anything in hospitality is long hours, boring and tiring...oh those aching feet at 2am in the morning :D

I've done several casual stints on the side to study or work.....Pizza Hut, gourmet barbeques on site, convention centres....all hard long work for pretty average pay. Wedding videos for a few years was tiring too, but my income was good. Not too mention 2 1/2 years with a lawnmowing/gardening franchise up in sunny & hot Queensland.....hard yakka, OK money, and super fit bod. hehe

Now with online businesses I get a blister on my little finger, money for nothing and the chicks for free. :D

A few months ago I got a job at an outbound call center for 6 days... was calling like fast food restaurant managers trying to selling them a $200 membership so they could get 50% off meals at restaurants where meals avaeraged about $80 a pop. lol. As you can imagine this was a nearly impossible task.

Seeing as I've only had 1 job (KFC) I guess it's my best and worst job. Worst part about it is the temptation to just eat a piece of chicken you just cooked.

It is upto people's mind. Some people may think working in a supermarket is worst. but some may think it is very good.

    Let's take my situation.

I was quite happy with my job 6 months ago. I am programmer here. My company appointed new manager for my team. He is the worst BS manager in my experience. After he joined with us, i am quite unhappy :(.

Now I am thinking my previous job is good even though my work hours was very long and my salary was very less in my previous employment.
