Can I at least have the remaining months money?

Me: Posted On: 07 Nov 2007 06:01 PM

AS under the sales of good act, I must get a refund if the item sold is not fit for purpose or you are breaking the law and can be reported to agencies. The contract does not apply, the sales of good act overules in these situations.

It does not have any support for video scripts, the uptime is terrible,
every time I tried to reach the site it took multiple attempts to reach.

    S. Nick Nelson: Posted On: 09 Nov 2007 06:32 PM

We can partially refund this into your Namecheap Funds, however, we can not provide a Cash refund. You would be able to use these funds to purchase future domains/services from Namecheap.

Right, do I have to post this support ticket on major webmaster forums to see what they have to say before I get a response?

that's really funny lol :p you are eligible ... oh noesss she misspelled you aren't eligible.

i'm using namecheap and i haven't got any problems with them. i asked them once where's the mailing server for my users and they answered fast ;) i think they're ok, especially if you're using domains from them.

Dude, Namecheap is a domain register and a mighty fine one at that! They are not a "hosting" company when looking for hosting get a good "hosting" company. ;) Same thing goes with godaddy etc, except that goddady sucks at everything!

I have to agree with what others have said. Namecheap is a great place to buy domains but very few domain companies have good hosting. You need to find a company that specializes in hosting only.

Seriously, choosing namecheap as a host only when it has come up recently is not very wise.. Stick to the better and more trusted hosts.. Namecheap's domains and the service rocks, but not the hosting

I've never used them for a host, but I find them to be the best for domain names, I have all my domains registered with them and have never had a problem! I did use 123-reg.co.uk but didn't like them so I moved!

They do a great job with domains.

Obviously their reputation in that field must have influenced you when you took up their hosting. I haven't tried their hosting out as of yet, and so will not comment on the quality of service.

Sounds like you had a bad day with them. I read your dialogue and think their replies were reasonable and polite.

You seem quite quick to threaten them which seems a bit unnecessary and as far as i can read, you contacted them looking for a fight.

Kudos to the customer support for handling an aggressive customer professionally.

That's not too bad, Domainsite somehow transfered my domain to someone else then they sent me someone elses account log-in. This person could of had LL.com's in their portfolio.

However, Namecheap is a solid registrar and i feel them giving you a credit to spend on other services such as domains is fair in this case. But yes they could of handled the ticket and correspondance a bit better.

Why don't you find a better host then? Namecheap wasn't created to be a hosting company - its a domain registar basically.
