Speaking of bad movies.. I woke up around 3AM this morning and "Damnation Alley" was playing on Starz. Man does that bring back memories.. Bad movie or not, there was a decent cast, and one hell of a cool machine in that LandMaster!

I have to say, while not a great film, I still enjoyed watching that for the first time in years!

2.6 stars though :p got to be a real stinker.

what's worse IMO is when a 'big name' movie totally falls of the edge of the movie cliff and does not produce one iota of entertainment

Damnnation alley is sweet, thats the one with the killer cockraoches and that old guy flying the plane isn't it?

is that the one where they had to cut open the gas pump stations to get the gas at the bottom?

    That's the one...

I think they used a hose and siphoned the gas out of the tank directly.

On my list of "B" movies, it's way at the top..

George Peppard, aka, Hannibal of "A-Team" fame, is one of the main characters!

I've watched Southern Comfort lately, it made me sick. Also the original version of The Italian Job (1969.).

But in all time bad movies I'd put Tigar and the Dragon + Amelie...

I saw another bad one the other day... Had never seen it before, and still have only seen bits and pieces of it. It is called "Meteorites" with Tom Wopat of "Dukes of Hazard" fame. Aside from the obvious bad acting, the special effects are, well, lets just say that "Plan 9 From Outer Space" kicks ass compared to this movie.

I especially like the way they shake the camera to simulate explosions... Gotta love it!

did you look at the director? he's written an episode for Bosom Buddies...young HANKS flashback!! and then Jumpin' Jack Flash (movie).

not a lot of "hits" under hit belt but he keeps trying ;)

"Bosom Buddies" was funny... For it's time... The other buddy went on to "Newhart", from there, I have not idea...

It is amazing to think that Tom Hanks was a "Bosom Buddy"... ;)

Flash as funny, again, at the time... Even with someone like Whoppie playing the lead role...

But the epic nature of the event, the sinking, and the great special effects overshadowed a lot of the drama. I would have to say overall, it was a good movie, love story aside...
