Worst Day in Months - UGH!

    Well,

I'm officially frustrated! I guess this is my first "setback" in adsense revenue. I'm officially going to have the worst day that I've had in months, with revenues down about 50%.

Niches that were regularly paying $1 - $2 per click are now generating $0.50 while others are generating $0.08 per click when they used to be around $0.20.

    *SIGH*

I guess I knew the bubble was going to burst! LOL!

Cbrooker, well you're not the only one, my earnings fell down dramatically in last 3 days , for aprox. 40% but have to admit that the last week was very successful. We'll see maybe low earnings have some connection with the end of the month, at least I hope so (maybe advertisers spent their budget). We'll see, hoping for better days to come!

I also have this problem. Even if I have the same click rate, my earnings were very much smaller

Google Adsense income are decreasing time after time. Even publishers also moving slowly from adsense to affiliate based advertising. They are starting to understand that they can earn better of they go through the affiliate marketing route. It seems even google knows it.

It is the end of the month so advertisers budgets may be low. It might pick up in the next couple of days as they refresh there budgets we just have to see.

I noticed the same thing. The pay per click has been dropped to about $0.15 which drives me sick.

Sure, I'll spend another 6 - 8 months rebuilding my niches and experiment. LOL!

    Just kidding.

I did experiment today though, and have gotten my clicks on one niche back to around $1.00 per click. But I'm not sure if it's the content or the ad layout that I'm using. My experiment isn't over just yet and my niche isn't that full of competition soooooooo I can't really ask for help! :D

I have played around with the sites listed in my signatures, and I've seen some improvements. These are relatively new sites that I'm still building traffic to so it's hit/miss on the return so far.

Niches shift. Let's use mesothelioma as an example. People were surprised at how their revenue had dropped, but search analysis has gotten more sophisticated and the money is now in mesothelioma law. Six months from now, if there is a major shift in the pattern of development of the disease, it'll go to mesothelioma medical, but a specific medical, like m... pain treatment, m... hospice care, etc.

Still not as good as the keyword was initially paying out, but better than a .03click.

So, your website has got to evolve based on what's being searched, clicked AND how many sponsors are supporting a keyword phrase and the amount of competition you have to overcome to place well in Google.

My keywords for my most traveled site are dogpoo. Learned where the money went and am trying to add these pages in and get them ranked.

Now, if only I can build traffic on my other sites with highly optimized keywords.

Its up and down anyway. Specially if you have only like 1000 uniques a day.
