Apart from the obvious being the one you hate the most... the worst subjects are those that are already done to death, ones where you couldn't hope to compete by yourself and make a good living if you typed away for 10 years. You can get a good idea by looking through the crap sites for sale on DP, they usually advertise the page rank in the thread title and have 'huge potential'. All the ones you think sound like they should make you money, almost always will not, because they've been done a thousand times already- e.g. A blog about making money, a blog about forex, a dating advice blog et cetera.

i agree... as long as you know what you're doing and as long as you like what you're doing... you can pull things off no matter what.

Well, long term interest is easy - I always thought that there might be subjects where the ad revenue is kinda low.

(BTW, jkadin, I'm a Mets fan - only because my precocious nephew is a Mets fan. To me, family is more important than sports rivalries)

Double amputee elephants...VERY NICHE! ha! j/k. It's a very weird question to be asked. Like Dane Cook said "like being asked what you don't want on a sandwich - metal spikes for one" or something along those lines. Jkadin is right...if you have nothing to bring to the niche via articles or media (pics/vids) then it's a bad niche. If you can write about it, chances are there is some $$$ to be made.

There can never be any worst subjects for blogs....as they can be as different as the number of people on the earth!

It is only when you decide to focus on high paying niche but have no inherent interest in it, then one fails miserably in it and lo...behold, the best revenue generating subject becomes your worst subject!

IMO you can turn any subject into a good one. With good articles, bookmarking, and backlinks.

Worst Blog Subjects? Maybe those overly-saturated and used subjects like SEO and earning money online. There are a lot of blogs who are catering to these niches and the more bloggers they are the more competition you got in terms of page rank and having to drive traffic.

Pretty Much well said that "There is no sense doing those things, which you don't like" and it follows with your blog subjects as well.

I think the subject is not really important to Adsense revenue as long as you have a lot of content (words) and they are really useful to your audiences. And of course, you cannot write a lot of useful stuff unless you care enough to do it well and consistently.

For me the worth blog niche is those niche that is already saturated and hard to monetize it such as money making blog.

With the plethora or garbage MMO (Make Money Online) sites out there, something in this category probably won't make much money and is doomed to fail.

    Here are some:

    1. Things that have been discussed to death
    2. Things that nobody wants to read
    3. Things that you write without considering who you're writing it for

    Hope that helps. ;)

First are topics that are hot for a little while and then fade away are the worse ones to get into. The timing has to be perfect to make any money off those types of topics. After the topic reaches its peak, its all down hill from there.

Second are topics that your not really interested in.
