One of my affiliate accounts is sure suffering. Had sales every day and then nothing for a week, I even wrote to CB about it. My vendor accounts are okay though.
This is DEFINITELY my worst week. I hadn't gone a single day without a sale since the new year began, and now I'm on my 5th day in a row with no sales =(. I'm rather new to CB and was only averaging 1-3 sales a day before, so it's definitely in the "realm of possibility" that I could have an unlucky streak, but my hops haven't wavered at all so I'm sort of worried =(
Has there been some bad economic news in the US or something this past week? Maybe people are spooked?
This is surely the worst week till date... Why is it so? Anything wrong with CB or purely due to deflation?
My CB is getting slaughtered too man. I noticed almost a 50% drop in sales. Some ppl are blaming it on shaving.... i don't know whats going on tho
That's the thing, I'm talking about my organic traffic for stuff I am promoting as an affiliate here. The traffic remains the same on my old content sites, only the conversion has gone down for these products I'm promoting. This doesn't make sense.
Have to think its the economy at this point for some products.. Let's face it.. most people are cutting back
This has definitely been a bad week in the U.S. as far as the economy goes. Right now our entire economy is on the brink of failure, and everything is riding on whether or not AIG succeeds or goes under. And this week in particular our congress seems bent on beating them into failure. Things are looking grim here for sure. - Could be good for the IM niche though - as long as things don't get too bad.
Tax refunds should technically speed up sales. But rolf if your traffic is the same and conversions are dropping it could be that the content sites have promoted the products to all the people that want to buy them already and you should move into a new product. Like assuming that the same people come back to visit the site which is your organic traffic, they will either already have been exposed to or already bought your products. Try rotating your offers.
hey ocean, nah that content site gets SE traffic but only one time visitors, not many repeated visitors. I don't think that I've exploited everyone in that particular niche, there are millions of people on the internet after all!!
I'm selling product in many countries so not only in the US. I also noticed a couple of bad days (monday, tuesday, thursday and friday) with the same type and same amount of cpc traffic. Sales did not only drop in the US. However, today (saturday) is looking good/normal again. 50 sales so far today. For me around this time of the day that is normal for a saturday.
If you getting mainly SE traffic then there is no way that you have "sold-out" your market. I thought you had some sites that you ran which had subscribers and regular readers as their main traffic source. I'm not sure what is to blame this week..... Good luck though!
