    hi,

    i'm currently running a site "http://www.momomesh.com",
and after transferring to a new host,

i keep getting database connection error,
it's not like the normal NO connection database error but,

it's like sometimes it won't connect to the database,
i've already tried moving to another host,

    but with no avail,
i still get the same error,

should i re-install the wordpress or is there something i'm missing,

    Things i've tried:

1.) Make sure the database has already been assign a user
2.) Make sure database username and password is correct
3.) My site is working fine at times but it's screwed up when you navigate a few times....

it's really frustrating...is my file corrupted or should i upgrade my wordpress??.....hmmmm

    1) Backup your database and files.
    2) Do a complete re-install from a new copy of Wordpress.

Let me know how that goes?

with all the files normally and just re-config the wp-config.php file??

It sounds like you didn't setup the DB on the new host.

no, i've already setup the DB on the new host,
    everything is working fine,

it's just that the DB sometimes is "buggy" as in not working properly...

ya the DB host is correct i use "localhost"
as they don't allow direct connection,

    i'll re-install it,
    by upgrading it and see,

previously when i transfer to this host i just,
drag all the file from my "old server" and upload them the "new server",

and just create a new DB,
    and edit the "wp-config.php" file,

    with the new DB details...
and import the old database to that new "DB"....

    i think that correct right?

actually the problem is not a matter or connection problem with the DB,
but it's that sometimes it keeps giving me connection problem with DB....

and it's very frustrating when you keep having such buggy stuff

    Thanks guys,

i finally found out what was the culprit,
and it took me around 5 hours,

    it was the "PERMALINKS",
something to do with goolge / wordpress / duplication,

    i didn't go into details,
so i used back the default "/p?201" (ugly),

    permalinks,
    and all was heaven~

    Thansk Guys for the support
