WorldWide Telescope, are Microsoft and Google copying each others?

I was excited when google launched Google Sky (a part of Google Earth where, basically, u can see the sky starts), now, Microsoft is coming up with a new product, and as usual with a long name (Microsoft WorldWide Telescope), so if you want to see the same images that scientists at NASA use for their research Microsoft way, this could be the answer, they say you can also perform your own research with those images, or you can see the Earth from the same perspective that astronauts see as they descend to Earth, in addition to many other features.

I liked it myself, I think it's cool, what do u think? Also do think both companies are trying to copy what the other is doing? are we watching a battle between MS and Google especially with Yahoo!'s bad luck?

And can I ask you a question, which company services u like more, MS or Google and why?

I like the openess of Google, but I'm still can not manage without Microsoft ;)

MS is trying to get into innovation... something new to them.. so taking a standard tool like that one and making it into something with a unique twist is sorta their baby steps :) ..

Don't be surprised if your next XP update includes some honking telescope application :p
