I was recently reading a news article about a group working to raise money to help fight cancer. The article Join the World's Biggest Coffee Morning talked about the Macmillian annual event.

Now here is my question. Since when did the UK become known as the world's coffee drinkers? I knew about tea but, coffee?

Also, are any of you aware if there is a similar event in the US and especially around the Sept. 28 event held by Macmillian?

Seemed a bit odd to me.

I can't believe that there are not tons of others speaking out about this. Maybe they only think about coffee in the mornings... Sure seems odd to me. :)

Canada has Tim Hortons. You wouldn't believe the number of people here addicted to it.
